Primary Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to following McDonald's policies and procedures, principal accountabilities and primary duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Daily job duties and responsibilities of a Marketing Assistant:
- Answer customer and vendor questions
- Process incoming mail
- Create and distribute documents
- Provide customer service to customers and vendors
- Maintain computer system by updating and entering data
- Set appointments and arrange meetings
- Maintain Marketing calendar
- Compile reports and spreadsheets and prepare spreadsheets
- May assist Marketing Coordinator in addressing customer complaints to include customer incidents (potential injuries / illnesses)
Marketing Assistants are involved in a number of areas of marketing, including:
Coordination W/ Media Outlets
- Develop strong relationship with media contact persons to enhance our access to Media exposure
- Creates radio, TV and print media (digital and paper) to include social media posts using McDonald's approved media standards
Marketing Execution (In Store)
- Attends Taste & Train for all new product promotions
- Conduct regular store walk-throughs to verify promotions, limited time offers (LTOs) and menu items are up-to-date (to include kiosks, signage and Drive-thru menu boards). Report to Marketing Coordinator findings including soiled or damaged signage, banners, or POP for replacement.
- Ensures that each store receives POP signage 2 days before the start of each promotion and visit stores to ensure all POP and promotional signage is in its approved location. Notifies Marketing Coordinator if POP isn't received on time
- Observe Crew order-taking to verify knowledge of suggestive selling topic and consistency
- Observe that DMB promotion displays are following schedule
- Create internal communications posters for Crew regarding contests, events, etc.
- Communicates marketing promotions, as approved by Marketing Coordinator, to all GM's and Area Supervisors in a timely manner, including PDUS and specific expectations for all new promotions
- At the start of and during the duration of each promotion, closely monitor radio and TV spot broadcast to ensure compliance w/ approved media schedule and that they are timed with the promotion
- Tracks promotional product usage.
- Collect product movement from stores and update daily promotion report.
Marketing Execution: EOTF
- Visits stores to verify correct digital POP download for promotions to indoor and outdoor digital menu boards on Go Live Date.
- Ensures All menu boards meets McDonald's standards in terms of overall appearance, placement and maintenance
- Verify removal of all promotional spots on DMB and print signage at the end of each promotion
Local Store Marketing (LSM)
- Assist in executing store-specific LSM events
- Assist in Grand Opening/Re-Grand Opening Event planning and logistics to include ordering, communications, etc.
Public Relations and Events
- Assist in coordination of and attends McDonald's-sponsored PR events and company-wide events and assists in event organization and success
- Receive, review and organize all incoming solicitation letters for Saipan community events. Presents summary report to Marketing Coordinator and prepares monthly donations as advised for release.
- Draft employee accomplishment and McDonald’s event articles for digital and paper release and notify Marketing Coordinator when published
- Assist with coordinating with local charities and businesses for donations/fundraising/tie-in promotions to increase brand awareness
- Arrange photo opportunities for check presentations, food donations, etc.
